Here are some suggestions on how to handle all of your passwords:

It maybe wise to use different type of passwords, depending on the importance of protected information.

- The casual password: it can be used on everyday stuff where there's nothing very important behind it. A single password can be used on a number of sites, containing no private or financial information where it just doesn't matter much if someone were to hack into it.

- The moderately-secure password: it can be used for the files or websites where your name and address are stored and where a hacker could potentially get some sensitive data or do some damage.

- The highly-secure password: it can be used for the files containing valuable information, credit card info, bank and merchant accounts.

This approach helps you standardize and never forget your passwords.
But even if it's not good for you, remember: a password you use to secure access to your files or computers, should be different from any of the other ones.

Companies need to work out a coherent security password policy and insist that employees use secure - but memorable - passwords, with a lock-out policy stopping repeated wrong password entries.

Here are some tips for creating passwords.

Security experts advise against passwords containing combinations of consecutive numbers or letters or adjacent letters on a keyboard such as "qwerty".

When creating a password, try to avoid any word that can be found in the dictionary, in any language, or replacing letters with numbers or symbols that look like the letters such as M1cr0$0ft or P@ssw0rd as hackers are wise to these tricks.

Make up a passphrase - a sentence you can remember, like "My son Aiden is three years older than my daughter Anna" - and then use the first letter of each word of the sentence to create 'msaityotmda.'

Use a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters that look like letters to come up with a hacker-challenging password, something like M$8ni3y0tmd@.
