Instant messaging is now the communication norm within the enterprise, although for too many enterprises, it continues to be managed on an ad-hoc basis, making it open to abuse from both internal users and external hackers. For IM to succeed in the current business environment, it must be a secure solution that allows for easy and familiar communication.
IM must not only provide for secure instant chat messaging, but also maintain a high level of security for protected files sharing.
